Introduction

This position is for a Fab Engineering Intern at GlobalFoundries India, Bangalore, supporting 200mm and 300mm wafer fabs located in the US, Singapore, and Germany. The candidate will perform manufacturing data analysis and support Fab engineering and operations functions.

Your Job Responsibilities

• Involve in one or more of the Fab Engineering functions including Process Integration, Yield Engineering, Defect Engineering, and Process Modules (e.g., Photolithography, Etch, Diffusion).
• Monitor and analyze Electrical, Sort, Defect, and Metrology data during Fab processing.
• Analyze inline Statistical Process Control (SPC) trends to identify sources of variation, improve process control, and reduce product variability.
• Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities by performing data mining.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify automation and analytics areas, developing algorithms to improve efficiency.
• Communicate effectively across various Fab teams and participate in problem-solving using lean manufacturing methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Electronics or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of Semiconductor processing technology and devices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Scripting and coding skills (R or Python) for analytical roles.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with global teams.
• Organized, proactive, committed, and possess excellent analytical skills.
