The Opportunity
Join Nutanix as a QA Engineer where you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the quality of the AHV (hypervisor) Control Plane. Your mission will be to help build reliable, efficient, and high-performance software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid clouds. It’s an exciting chance to work with talented engineers and peers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About the Team
You will be reporting to Saurabh Jain, who has been with Nutanix since 2016. He started as a QA engineer and is now managing a team of 8 QA engineers focused on building a scalable and enterprise-grade control plane system for the AHV Hypervisor.
With over 18 years of experience at companies like Red Hat and NetApp, Saurabh brings a lot of knowledge to the team. The team works in a hybrid model, meaning you’ll spend 2–3 days a week in the office, allowing for collaboration, brainstorming, and team-building activities.
Your Role
- Create test plans to validate workflows in distributed software systems.
- Develop automated test suites and tools.
- Work closely with developers to identify and fix bugs.
- Contribute to successful product delivery by executing tests and resolving failures.
What You Will Bring
- A passion for programming and problem-solving.
- Innovative thinking and a creative approach.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming for test automation.
- Good understanding of Operating Systems and virtualization concepts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent.
