Job Purpose
The main responsibility of the Intern/Apprentice Quality is to ensure the highest level of quality in our products by performing quality checks of supplier/internal manufacturing records according to engineering and project requirements. You will be responsible for identifying any discrepancies in technical specifications, drawings, testing methods, and manufacturing records. This role also includes driving the creation, coordination, and closure of non-conformance reports.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks of supplier/internal manufacturing records to authorize the shipment of parts based on engineering and project requirements.
- Communicate non-conformance findings to internal and external stakeholders and record them in SAP/Intelex.
- Drive supplier/internal non-conformance report creation, coordination, and closure through SAP/Intelex.
- Work with subject matter experts, project, and client to get supplier pre-manufacturing records approval through the eSMDR tool and SAP.
- Use the SAP/ECM and database systems to create or modify quality notifications, and upload/download documents using SAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Supplier Quality, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project departments to expedite and resolve quality-related problems.
- Participate in the identification of engineering requirements errors and process standardization activities.
- Support improvement projects and may participate in NRB meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in the field.
- Basic understanding of engineering practices, manufacturing processes, and material engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and project requirements.
- Experience reading and interpreting supplier/internal manufacturing records.
Skills
- Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of manufacturing concepts.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to use MS Office software.
