Overview

You will play a key role in scaling systems sustainably through automation and evolve them by pushing for changes to improve reliability and velocity.
Job Summary
NetApp’s Engineering Tools and Services (ETS) organization manages the automation and testing infrastructure utilized by product development and QA teams. We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our globally distributed SRE team, supporting highly available internal services critical to NetApp’s product quality and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Programming experience in Python, Go, Perl, Java, C, C++ (shell scripting is desirable).
- Respond quickly to service outages and document root cause analysis.
- Proficiency with Relational Databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
- Monitoring and alerting strategy development to reduce MTTR for supported services.
- Ensure service reliability by enforcing SLOs and creating new SLIs.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience with Source Code Management tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Perforce).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant experience can be considered in place of formal education.
