Job Overview

Avalara is hiring for the position of Associate Analyst in Pune, India. Below are the details for this position.

Handle registrations and filings for all requested licenses at all government levels, focusing on state-level sales tax registrations.
Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns and payments accurately and timely to meet jurisdictional deadlines.
Maintain accuracy in line with standard Operating Procedures to avoid penalties and interest to the client.
Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) ensuring accurate and timely registration.
Communicate status and challenges to the manager promptly.
Stay updated on trends and support overall production and accuracy goals.
Find and implement process improvement opportunities to build efficiency.
Plan and prepare filings with the team for various periods.
Serve as a front-line contact for external customers, answering emails and client calls.
Assist internal groups with technical issues and inquiries.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Adhere to and deliver as per the timelines of various government authorities.
Flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary to complete filing requirements.
